Sveriges ambassadörsresidens i Singapore.
Singapore, Singapore, the Swedish Ambassador's residence
The property that houses the Swedish Ambassador's residence in Singapore covers 1400 square meters and is located in a smart residential area around four kilometres from the city centre.
In 1991, the Canadian Ambassador moved out of his attractive rented residence and the Swedish State was able to acquire this white building over two floors, which was built in 1987. Buildings above two floors are not permitted in this area under planning regulations, so the character of the area has been preserved. The property covers 1400 m2 and is located in a smart residential area around four kilometres from the city centre.
In the garden outside the reception rooms – a dining room and drawing room – stands an attractively shaped pool. Terracotta tiles decorate the covered terrace and the open areas around the pool. The pool and the lawns are surrounded by palms and other tropical plants, providing plenty of leafy shade.
