Care instructions for sensitive environments

The National Property Board Sweden present to you concrete instructions that emphasise practical advice on how the different surfaces in our historical environments are to be cared for

It is a privilege to work in an environment that bears the marks of history and is part of our cultural heritage. This type of environment is, however, sensitive to wear and other stresses. Daily activities in a sensitive environment therefore require specific care and attention from those who work there. If something is damaged, it can't just be repaired or replaced. Damage to interiors and objects can trigger extensive conservation measures, while also taking away some of the authenticity.
It is thus important to show respect for objects and interiors, but it is not always easy to know
what to do. In order to address this problem, the National Property Board Sweden (SFV) has drawn up these care instructions – concrete instructions that emphasise practical advice on how the different surfaces in our historical environments are to be cared for.
