Discover Sweden's cultural treasures

Plan your travels around our cultural treasures

Are you interested in Swedish history, gardens, parks, castles, royal palaces, fortifications, walking in the mountains, fishing or visiting museums?

Take inspiration from our holiday tips on this page. The National Property Board (SFV) is the largest manager of state-owned cultural buildings. Be sure to visit some of these cultural treasures during your holiday.

Holiday tips county by county

Several of the pages below carry links to the website of the current tenant, listing opening times, children's activities, etc. The County Governors' Residences are not generally open to visitors, but are still worth a visit to see the beautiful buildings and enjoy a picnic in the park.

Travelling abroad?

SFV manages about half of Sweden's embassies, many of which are of architectural interest. Search by continent via the search link above and to the left.
